A simple way to start using APRS by using devices you already own. The BTECH APRS-K1 Cable will quickly connect your radio to APRS by using virtual TNC (app driven) on your tablet or device. The APRS-K1 cable is built with a custom circuit board that will automatically adjust the audio for clear packet transmissions with minimal adjustment; along with protecting your devices from strong over modulated signals.

Along with allowing APRS functionality the APRS-K1 cable can provide a simple interface gateway to allow several features to your radio!

Easily record radio conversations: By connecting the APRS-K1 cable between your radio and any recording (line-in) device.

Use the APRS-K1 cable as a Mic In Connector: Set up VOX on your radio to accept any form of incoming audio – such as a Push-to-talk application on a Phone – or a Line-out application from your computer.

How to Use
1. Connect the 3.5mm PIN BTECH Adapter to your Radio’s K1 Accessory Jack
2. Clip or Velcro the PTT Button in a convenient place.
3. Connect your 3.5mm headset to the adapter cable.
4. Turn the radio’s volume to the minimum and slowly increase the volume to your preferred level (YOUR EARPIECE WILL NEED VERY LITTLE VOLUME)
5. Earpiece and Headsets that have an Inline Mic built-in can utilize the mic to transmit. In order to transmit use the PTT button on your BTECH Adapter; or the PTT on the Radio directly itself.
6. If you cannot transmit or hear audio – the REVERSE adapter is needed (included).

REVERSE ADAPTER INFORMATION

The 2 Pin BTECH Adapter to Single Pin Earpiece Adapter includes a Reverse Cable adapter to insure compatibility with all headsets & in line microphone earpieces.

The majority of headsets will work without this adapter. Some brands are wired in a reverse fashion and the adapter will be needed on those earpieces. It is recommended to store this adapter a safe place – so you will always be able to adapt your radio to your favorite 3.5MM headphones or line-out options.

This is the genuine eliminator with the full heavy duty cable and correct voltage transformer. Counterfeit eliminators send direct voltage which may damage your radio and will not let it function properly. Including: circuit damage and not allowing the radio to transmit while under high power, unregulated voltage

This is the battery eliminator for the BTECH DMR-6X2 series radios. To use the eliminator simply clip it to the back of the radio in place of the battery, then plug the cable into a cigarette lighter or accessory socket (12V only).

This allows your radio to run off the vehicle or selected 12V source. The eliminator supplies power to the radio directly from car.
