This is a great radio. I’ve worked with M radios for many, many years. This radio is so much easier to program and use. One could seriously use this radio for business, as it has many of the same features as more expensive radios at a small fraction of the price.

Great radio so far. After using the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio for a month now. I would add the following 2 items as firmware updates for the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio if possible.

1. All Squelch mode settings can be accessed within the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio menu system, but the CPS software does not allow full access to the Squelch mode settings like on the radio. See manual page 29 for the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio Squelch mode settings shown below. Only Carrier and CTCSS/DCS modes are available within the BTECH DMR-6×2 CPS software currently. Add all 6 Squelch mode settings to the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio CPS software.
(7) Squelch mode
When the analog channel is set up for both CTCSS/DCS decoding and
optional signaling, you can set up the RX condition in this menu.
SQ: You can hear the call once the channel receive matched carrier.
CDT: You can hear the call when the channel receive matched CTCSS/
DCS signal
TONE: You can hear the call when the channel receives a matched
signaling.
C&T: You can hear the call when the channel receives a matched CTCSS/
DCS and matched signaling.
C|T: You can hear the call when the channel receives a matched CTCSS/
DCS or matched signaling.

2. Add an option in the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio CPS software to manually edit the Analog Squelch settings like CHIRP does on the UV-82HP radio and other radios. This would be a handy feature to be able to manually edit squelch settings to adjust the sensitivity for the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio. See Miklor web link as an example of this.

Just bought the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio. Great radio so far.
Here are 2 things that I would change to make this radio better.

1. Add a micro SDXC/SD card reader into all BTECH radios so a user can have unlimited channels and future proof their purchase. Just add a new micro sdxc/sd card when you have too many channels. This would not add too much cost to radios and might reduce the cost in the long run, since the end user could use their own micro sdxc/sd card for memory storage.

Just 2 other suggestion for a new radios.
1. Make a version of the BTECH DMR-6×2 without the DMR functions while keeping everything else made for the radio the same.
2. Make a tri-band version of the BTECH DMR-6×2 radio with or without the DMR functions while keeping everything else made for the radio the same.

I love my DMR-6X2. It is very well built and functions very well with DMR. This is my first choice for a DMR plus Analog VHF/UHzF radio. I highly recommend it.

I bought this as my first radio. It has a lot of features and will take time to learn. It feels durable and the battery lasts a few days of continuous use. It lasts for weeks with standby use. I also bought some UV-5R devices but this DMR-6X2 is my favorite.

The online support and tutorials are still building up in the community so be patient. Baofeng is where I will go first when looking for more radios! Thank you Baofeng for making good products for a low cost.
