Nagoya Antennas have become the number one after-market antenna for BaoFeng radios, so it was an obvious partnership for the two companies. By having a direct reliable source for Nagoya Antennas, we believe it will help curb the counterfeit re-productions of Nagoya Antennas.

Nagoya Antennas have been shown to be dependable and accurate, but unfortunately counterfeiters have confused the market by offering imitation Nagoya antennas. These antennas are dangerous to your radio when they do not go through the same quality tests that a genuine Nagoya Antenna goes through. Tested counterfeit antennas have shown high SWR! These un-tuned antennas can cause extreme damage to your BaoFeng radio. It is because of these issues that Nagoya and BaoFeng Tech have partnered to offer a solution.

Nagoya Antennas have changed packaging, styles, and print to stay a step ahead of counterfeiters; but it is only a matter of time before the imitations adapt to the new styling. Fortunately to the educated consumer, the reproductions never have met the Nagoya standards.

Diagnose a counterfeit by packaging:

? Blue Ink: Nagoya Antennas have been printed with silver ink since May of 2014. It is still possible to acquire a blue ink printed antenna. Be sure to check the authenticity of the antenna provider to Nagoya’s Dealership list found here. If the distributor is not listed, it is almost certain that the antenna is a counterfeit.

? Stickers: Nagoya Antennas do NOT have the Nagoya logo applied to the antenna via a sticker. If you find an antenna that has the Nagoya branding applied on the antenna base by a sticker, it is a counterfeit Nagoya antenna. Images and comparisons can be found here. Nagoya antennas always have a screen-printed logo.

? Logo: The logo of Nagoya should contain a black triangle within the ‘A’ of the Nagoya. (See Here) If a triangle is not shown within the ‘A’ of the logo (on either the silver or the blue ink antennas) it is a counterfeit antenna. Images and comparisons can be found here.
